Seo Jung Lee, B.A.
Intern

I am a graduate student at Wheaton College's masters program in Marriage and Family Therapy, and I am looking forward to my time working here as an intern.

Before starting graduate school in the United States, I worked as administrative staff at an international counseling center in South Korea. During my time there, I was able to interact and learn about client experience and indirectly step into the world of counseling.

My areas of interest include anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, adjustment issues, and relational issues. I am comfortable working in individual, couples, and family therapy modalities, and look forward to welcoming clients across the lifespan.

I work primarily from a systemic lens, focusing on the ways in which personal and situational factors interact with family dynamics, identifying strengths as well as areas of concern, and ultimately discovering how individuals can change the way in which they respond to internal experiences, life stressors, and difficult relationships. I utilize cognitive-behavioral as well as emotion-focused therapy based strategies as we work to bring about this change.

I am bilingual and speak fluent Korean.
